Some of the most common problems you could have with your pc are listed and elaborated below.
Blue Screen of Death
A stop error, better known as a Blue Screen of Death (also known as BSOD) is an error screen displayed on a Windows computer system after a fatal system error, also known as a system crash: when the operating system reaches a condition where it can no longer operate safely.
In most cases, the windows will restart as a default action.
Missing DLL File
DLL errors can appear in any of Microsoft’s operating systems including Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 DLL errors are especially troublesome because there are so many of these types of files in existence, all with the potential to cause trouble.
Software installation may fail for many reasons, it may be related to incompatibility with another installation or an issue with hardware. It is one of the most common errors that occurs especially with new programs and updates.
Backing up Your Computer
Backing up one’s computer is very important. It ensures that the important files in the computer are readily available in case there is a fault in the original files. Having all data in one place is quite dangerous. One can suffer from computer loss, computer theft, natural disasters or even accidental deletions can occur leading to loss of information from the computer. It, therefore, raises the need to back up computers. Some of the best ways of backing up data are listed below:
A Bootable Backup:
The bootable backup is also known by the name of Clone. This backup category is basically defined as the medium of the complete copy of your computer’s primary hard drive. It allows the user to restore a bootable system image. It can be in the form of a recovery drive, a hard disk clone, or a “hot” computer backup. The bootable backup offers many first-aid functions and is usually compatible with backups made in windows.
A backup is a copy of one or more files created as an alternate in case the original data is lost or becomes unusable. An external backup is a best suitable if it is an exact replica of the laptop or PC itself. It is in the form of a thumb drive or an external hard disk. It can vary in size and can go up to even 2TB. In most cases, most of the PC external drives come loaded with their backup software.
Although having a physical backup for the machine is a good step forward, the data is still at risk of theft and other disasters. Cloud backup, also known as online backup, is a strategy for backing up data that involves sending a copy of the data over a proprietary or public network to an off-site server. For a fact, cloud back up is the easiest to not only create but also maintain. The files remain safe because they are encrypted and therefore no one else can read them. In addition, they are not copied on only one drive but on many of them meaning the data can be easily accessed.
Upgrading Your PC:
It is more likely that whenever you notice you PC lagging, one tries to optimize the computer. However, it is not always that optimization works and therefore an upgrade is necessary. Upgrading your PC can improve the performance and efficiency of your current device. Upgrading refers to the process of substituting the current product with a better and newer version of the same product. It can be done on software, hardware, or even firmware. The upgrades often bring the computer up to date or improve it’s characteristics.
Addition of more memory in the form of RAM is very easy and affordable. The RAM is where most of the application software and operating system commands are easily accessed. Expanding it means that more data can be accessed at a time. Upgrading the memory will deliver instant performance and will enable more apps to run simultaneously in the background and also keep more tabs open in a browser.
This kind of upgrade best suits gamers. It will not only give maximum quality but also higher resolutions. Graphics cards such as the 3D Modeler and the 3D animator are some of the best out there and they probably do not require any upgrades. Integrated graphic cards are the most common form of cards available in any machine. However, it is advisable that for a better performance in graphics an upgrade to a more dedicated graphic card should be made.
Upgrading the data drive is done mainly because there is need for more space or a better and faster performance. It becomes a bother to keep on freeing up the hard disk because eventually one will still run out of data. One can also complement the hard drive with a solid state drive. The solid state drive uses flash memory rather than the usual spinning disk which is much faster. As a result, it will give the PC a good speed boost.
The machine will boot faster, load programs faster and respond faster in programs which are dependent on large files.
Upgrading a processor is quite complicated and expensive. It is important to make compatibility issues before making such an upgrade. A new motherboard will eventually mean better performance and faster response time.
Current Operating System
Upgrading the operating system will give a boost to the computer. There will be a better bug fixing, optimization, and malware protection. These upgrades are likely to take up a lot of space on the hard drive but they are worth it. They increase the overall performance of the machine.
It will ensure that some features such as Lightroom will run much faster. The upgrade will not only increase performance but also the experience.
We are honored at Procom to be the ones to give these important upgrades in the machine. We ensure quality and guarantee of the services provided are up to date. We ensure that the experience of the user is upgraded hand in hand with the performance.
